Nick Zedd ne sera pas présent aux projections du jeudi 13 et vendredi le 14 car il n'a pas passé à la douane dû à un cassier criminel qui n'a rien à voir au cinéma. Les deux projections seront donc gratuites et certaines altérations seront affectées au programme (voir la programmation plus bas).

Nick Zedd will not be present at the Thursday 13th and Friday 14th screenings because he was stuck at the border because of a criminal record that got nothing to do with cinema. Both screening will be free and some alterations will be held at the program (sorry the schedule below).

NICK ZEDD IS DEAD

Comme l'état de subversion l'implique, le cinéma underground doit constamment trouver des moyens pour être agent d'Oblitération – pour s'infiltrer / agir à l'encontre de la diffusion imposée.

Nick Zedd, en opposition, a subi sa propre mort, il se l'est volontairement prescrit. Refusant l'iconoclasme, pour se limiter à la dialectique du star système, il n'a pas réussi à articuler une structure d'attaque décente et suffisamment décadente – reposant donc sur les mythes (l'ombre de l'idée) acquis. Il a acquiescé son propre Icône plutôt que de l'éclater, cristallisant sa propre inaction face aux nouvelles structures d'impositions fascistes (nouveau classicisme).

En s'incrustant en tant qu'Icône du passé, il devient lui-même une forme de micro-fascisme (état d'arrêt de la pensée) plutôt que de la pulvériser, rôle de la subversion (mouvement de la pensée).

Ce programme Cinéma Abattoir fête, plutôt que de plaindre, la mort de Nick Zedd: en se remémorant l'agitation d'il y a 20 ans – et les nouveaux esprits subversifs prenant naissance aux travers des cendres de Nick Zedd.

NICK ZEDD IS DEAD

 As the subversive state implies, the underground cinema must constantly look for new ways to become an agent whose mission is to Obliterate – to infiltrate/act against the imposed mass broadcasts.

 Nick Zedd, on the contrary, has already succumbed, voluntarily prescribing his own death.  Denying the iconoclastic state, preferring to limit himself to the star system dialectic, he failed to articulate a decent and sufficiently decadent offensive structure – consequently establishing what he is on the acquired myths (the shadow of idea).  He accepted his own Icon instead of blasting it, crystallising his own inaction toward new structures of fascistic imposition (new classicism).

 By entrenching himself as an Icon of the past, he becomes by himself a form of microfascism (the paralysation of thought) instead of trashing it, the role of subversion (the movement of thought).

This Cinema Abattoir program celebrates, instead of mourning, the death of Nick Zedd: by invoking the agitation of 20 years ago – and the new subversive spirits blooming through the ashes of Nick Zedd
